This Leica M2 Chrome camera (circa 1965) was recently professionally overhauled, Leica M rangefinder M camera system offering outstanding mechanical integrity and optical performance. The camera has undergone a complete CLA, including shutter timing calibration and replacement of the damaged first curtain. Frame spacing, film transport, and advance mechanism were adjusted to factory tolerance. The rangefinder/viewfinder system is clean and bright, with strong contrast, accurate patch alignment, and precise focusing accuracy. Cosmetically rated Ex++, it shows minimal wear on the top and base plates while maintaining excellent engraving clarity and original finish.

Paired with this body is the matching Leica 50mm f/2 Collapsible Summicron, also graded Ex++, recently serviced with full disassembly, optical cleaning, lubrication of the focusing helicoid, and adjustment of diaphragm response. Optics are clean and clear with no haze, fungus, or separation, delivering classic Summicron rendering, excellent edge-to-edge resolution for its optical design, and smooth focusing travel.

This set includes a Leica 12585 vented metal hood, original chrome front cap, and a Leica half case. In combination, this kit offers operational reliability, historically significant engineering, and technical precision suitable for professional use, continued collection, or long-term investment.
