ISO / HENSO (1947-1955)

Loose copy of the Leica IIIa/B (first Lux), then camera showing some resemblance to the Leica 

ISO (Industria Scientifica Ottica, head office 1 via Ruggero Settimo, Milan plan 54 viale Abbruzi, Milan and 53 via delle Maioliche, Roverrto -110 Km Northeast from Venice)

Undertook in 1947 to manufature the Lux, a Leica copy designed by Prof. D. Argentieri.

A few months later, an italian dealer asked for a camerawith built-in meter. Argentieri designed a new Lux, with several Contax features (focusing wheel,non interchangeable focusing mount) but still showing some resemblance to the Leica.

After the second Lux, ISO manufactured back opening cameras: Bilux, Junior, Standard and Reporter (About 2000 of these two last models have supposedly been produced)

ISO then licensed Hans Hensoldt (a Wetzlar binocular manufacturer) to sell Reporters under its brand name.

In 1956 ISO still produced the stereo Duplex and Super Duplex before stopping camera production.
