- The official production of the Leica 250, with its enormous film magazine for 250 exposures, began in early 1934 but the first two cameras (114,051 black and 114,052 plated) were made in late 1933, These first two did new have slow shutter speeds as they were modeled after the Leica II.
- The first 246v cameras modeled after the Leica III (SNR 130,001 – 150,124) had shutter speeds up to 1/500 and are delighted as 250 FF, After the IIIa, 709 cameras (SNR 150,125 – 353,800) had shutter speeds up to 1/1000. This series is called 250 GG. Lastly. 29 cameras were specially made to take and electric motor drive.
