In year 1997, Leica released 300 special edition rare limited kits for Hong Kong’s re-united back with The People Republic of China.

The set commemorate number is 246-300 . “July 1, 1997” and Hong Kong skyline is engraved on top plate.
This set comes with matching gold plated Summicron-R 2/50mm lens. The rear section, camera back has a metal plate which says “July, 1, 1997 Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” it came with a wooden box with engraved outlines of famous few of the major landmark / building in the Hong Kong skyline and marked along with the distinguished “JULY, 1, 1997, Hong Kong
