Detailed Description
This Version 1 Summicron 90/2 is the original 1958 design introduced as a fast short‑telephoto for portraits and theater work. It uses a 6‑element Gauss‑type formula and was produced in limited early batches at Leitz Canada, making true Canadian‑made chrome examples rarer and more collectible than later runs. Optically it delivers the classic Summicron character—creamy bokeh and strong center sharpness, with best overall performance stopped to f/5.6 for edge‑to‑edge results.
